Abside Networks concludes Acton, MA Kickoff event, advancing U.S. 5G supply chains, domestic manufacturing, and national security innovation.
ACTON, MA, UNITED STATES, August 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Abside Networks is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its Manufacturing Kickoff Ceremony, a two-day event centered on the theme “On-Shoring Innovation & Manufacturing for U.S. Advantage.” Held on August 13th and 14th at Abside Networks’ newly established facility in Acton, Massachusetts, the event brought together telecom executives, industry operators, federal partners, universities, and local officials to celebrate a significant advancement in domestic manufacturing and national security technology.
Manufacturing Kickoff and Facility Tour (August 13)
The event’s first day highlighted the strategic importance of strengthening domestic wireless supply chains. The ceremony featured remarks from Congresswoman Lori Trahan (MA-03), a strong advocate for the CHIPS and Science Act, on the state of manufacturing and innovation in Massachusetts.
The program included industry presentations covering the Wireless Heart Of America program (federally funded though the NTIA Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund), the operational challenges facing North American small and medium size operators, and a deep dive into Abside’s AI-driven 3D network roadmap. The day included a guided tour of the company’s new 27,500 sq ft manufacturing facility, and concluded with a networking reception.
National Security Symposium (August 14)
The second day was dedicated to specialized discussions on national security infrastructure, specifically exploring the role of the 3D Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC) for in-theatre and homeland security. The symposium featured subject matter experts who provided insights into securing critical network infrastructure.
“This event marks a pivotal moment for Abside Networks as we scale our in-house production capabilities,” said Laurent Perraud, CEO of Abside Networks. “We are honored to have hosted such a distinguished group of partners and stakeholders to witness the start of our new production line and discuss the future of secure, domestic wireless infrastructure.”
“Abside shows what’s possible when we invest in American workers and American ingenuity. In three years, the company has nearly tripled its team and opened a full manufacturing line right here in Acton,” said Congresswoman Lori Trahan. “They are building the backbone of our 5G networks in Massachusetts and strengthening our supply chains and our national security in the process. This is what onshoring looks like, and I couldn’t be prouder that it is happening in the Third District.”
