Summize today announced the launch of its Power Counsel, an advisory group comprising of some of the most accomplished legal executives working today. Its founding members represent globally recognized brands across professional sports, media, technology, financial services, travel and luxury.
Chaired by Kimberly Trull, General Counsel at Matillion, the Summize Power Counsel is built on a simple belief: the future of legal should be shaped by the people responsible for leading it.
Power Counsel members are helping define what comes next for legal. Across their companies, they are rethinking how legal teams operate, guiding responsible AI adoption and expanding legal’s role as a strategic business partner. Through Power Counsel, they will come together with Summize to learn and share insights with the wider industry.
“I’ve been using Summize for several years now, and it has genuinely changed the way we approach contracting; particularly the partnership between Legal and Sales and how we work together to get deals done,” said Trull. “What I’m most excited about with the Power Counsel is having the opportunity to help shape what comes next. I’m looking forward to bringing the tech and GC perspective to the table, sharing what we’re seeing and learning from other legal leaders, and helping Summize to keep building things that make our lives easier.”
Power Counsel members include:
- Danielle Anders, Head of Legal, Paisly
- Keirstin Beck, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment
- David Eshmoili, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, David Yurman
- Tom Hambrett, Partner and Chief Legal Officer, Revolut
- James Tonks, Chief Administrative Officer, IPC
- Kimberly Trull, General Counsel, Matillion, and Power Counsel Chair
- Krista Whitaker, Chief Legal Officer, Chicago Bears
- Rory Douglas, Legal Director, CodeRabbit
Power Counsel builds upon Summize’s longstanding practice of working closely with its customers. Members will receive early access to new capabilities and provide candid feedback based on how legal work is changing inside complex, global organizations. Their experience will help Summize continue making contract intelligence easier to adopt, more useful in practice and more closely connected to the way lawyers and their businesses already work.
Alexandria Lutz, General Counsel at Summize, said, “Staying as close to our customers as possible is central to how we build at Summize. Power Counsel will help us keep shaping AI to work the way lawyers think, protect their time to focus on what matters and deliver a customer experience shaped by the very people who use it.”
What Power Counsel Members Are Saying
“Paisly powers the future of travel, and it’s safe to say that Summize powers the future of contract intelligence for legal teams. I’m looking forward to joining Summize’s Power Counsel and getting early access to new capabilities as Summize grows. Testing new features is part of the appeal, but I’m just as excited to collaborate with other General Counsels, share what we’re learning, and bring new strategies into the legal function,” said Danielle Anders, Head of Legal at Paisly.
“I am thrilled to join Summize’s Power Counsel representing the sports sector. I get to learn from some of the most brilliant minds in legal, and to be part of the technology and innovation conversations shaping the future of Summize,” said Krista Whitaker, Chief Legal Officer at Chicago Bears Football Club.
“As a Power Counsel member, I’m excited to be part of a forum that helps shape the future of what legal innovation looks like. We’re a strong group of legal leaders representing a wide range of industries, but we share a common purpose: positioning legal teams as strategic partners that enable the business to move forward,” said Tom Hambrett, Partner and Chief Legal Officer at Revolut.
