CULPEPER, VA – Three high school students demonstrated quick thinking and bravery when they rescued a family of three from drowning in Lake Culpeper on Sunday.

The incident occurred while the students, identified as Andrew Tuggle, Jackson Castro, and Gavin Cain, were participating in golf tryouts at Culpeper Country Club. Their tryouts were interrupted when they witnessed two kayaks capsize on the nearby lake, throwing the occupants into the water.
